PRETTY DOES IT

posted on: Saturday, August 31, 2013

A slightly more feminine outfit than what you are used to seeing me in, but a girl likes to feel simply pretty from time to time. I loved how the loose fitting blouse looks with the textured skirt and easy gold accents here and there. Speaking of accents where are you on mixing different animal patterns in one outfit. For my part it sounded horrendous in theory but as long the pops of pattern are subtile it works for me. It really gives it an unexpected twist. In case you were wondering where on Earth did I get the Balenciaga skirt, well, sales;)
Now I am off to bad after a busy, busy day. Can't wait to show you my last purchase tomorrow, just perfectly spot on the autumn trends(a little hint: it's pink and it comes from by Malene Birger)
Sleep tight!

I am wearing H&M Trend blouse, Balenciaga textured skirt, Celine heels, Angel Jackson purse, Cooee bracelet and Georg Jensen watch.

THE WEEKEND SPILL AND SOME NEW TOYS

posted on: Thursday, August 29, 2013

For a girl who is addicted to nail polish, yet not allowed to use one on the daily basis, the weekend is always like a little holiday. I was thinking of a perfect burgundy color for a long time (you know not to red, but not to purple either-the perfect aubergine I believe it is called)  and it seems like the Chanel lacquer in color Provocation was just spot on. The slatey -lavender lilac YSL was a far more spontanious buy, when I was out for  a little stroll, earlier today. Also these to went unexpectedly well together so I went for the YSL on the feet and Chanel on hands. Loving when nail polish doesn't match on hands and feet.
On the other matter I also bought the very anticipated Chanel creme blush and I have to say it was a Revelation( actually the color I got has the same name) It has the those 3 must that I look for when buying a blush:
The colors are perfectly natural, so they actually resemble fresh, pinched cheeks,
the texture really melts into your skin (no that bad pasty or oily surface as many have), it is in a way velvety and creamy at the same time (say YAY if you have oily skin!!),
AND it stays on for quite some time.
Addicted.

THE PERFECT SHIRT

posted on: Wednesday, August 28, 2013

Enjoying what are probably the last days of summer. Some days ago I got this shirt from FWSS and it has become a major favorite since the day I tried it on at a nearby store. It has the perfect feel of a denim shirt, yet the fantastic slouch of a silk fabric and the cut is that perfect balance between the masculine and feminin we are all looking for in a good shirt. I've used it ridiculously many times since I got it (which is a week or two??) and it goes with literarily everything. Loving the combo with the leather skirt and some simple jewelry as it really accentuates the shirts rawness and a very rock chic feel about it.

I am wearing FWSS silk shirt, eponymous  Elin Kling for Guess leather skirt, Aquazzura Amazone lace ups, Saint Laurent Paris purse, Thomas Sabo earring, Gorg Jensen watch and Maria Black rings.

Have a great day lovely people!

LES ATTITUDES

The september issues have landed (or at least on Ipad) which in turn means tons and tons of inspiration.  Vogue Paris delivers fantastic editorials as usual, my favorite being a b&w photos of leather and denim combos, delivering right amount of attitude and style.
One word: Hotness.

NEW IN

posted on: Monday, August 26, 2013

A lot outfits lately so I though you might like to see some new pieces from beauty, jewelry and tech department a little more up close. Let's start with the Ipad, now that little thing has been a blessing since living in Norway means waiting outrageously long for magazines to arrive (sometimes I wonder if Siberia gets them before us), so downloading the issues and the possibility of a proper screen shot changed my life. Literally.
The same goes for the body balm by Rudolph care. I have very dry skin, especially the legs, that makes my before-bedtime ritual an obsessive overuse of moisturizer. I have tried everything that is out there, everything, but seriously nothing can't even come near to the body balm. Although it does take some time for skin to soak it in, it really leaves it so soft for very long time.
Furthermore a shirt I bought some days ago from FWSS, it has the amazing fit and feel of a good denim shirt, yet it is made in silk. High five to my girl Nina for the amazing garments!

And last, but not least Maria Black rings...As I said on Instagram I just need 20 more of them ;)

BDAY OUTFIT

posted on: Sunday, August 25, 2013

After couple of days break I am back. I'll admit I have been enjoying end of summer a little bit too much;) But it seems we all are. Anyways some days ago I have had my 20-something b-day and here is the outfit. I have been obsessing about this boudoir trend since Louis Vuitton show and have been looking for the little number with a perfect lace trim for more or less an eternity.
I eventually found it at by Malene Birger shop- although it is more a cami (you have seen it here), but the straps are adjustable and it looks perfect as a laceslip underneath a tee and a blazer. Speaking about blazers, say hello to my new am-amazing ACNE piece that I got some days ago(you can find it here) as a little something-something that I got for myself on My-wardrobe.com some days ago ;)

I am wearing Acne tee and blazer, by Malene Birger cami-used as a dress, Saint Laurent Paris heels, Angel Jackson purse,Maria Black rings, Eddie Borgo and Cooee braclets.

EAGER

I think both you, my wonderful readers, and me have been very eager for the first picks wearing the  CÉLINE mules. I will admit I have been saving this particular  outfit for the shoes to arrive since I first laid my hands on the beautiful by Malene Birger knit. I had everything ready in my head, the hair, the bracelets, the sunnies- only thing that was missing were the shoes. And now they are finally here, and I can't seem to take them of.
I loved how the beautiful rich aubergine color of the sweater worked with the leopard details. It was spot on Célinesque as we all love and adore it.
Two wardrobe staples that will stay with me for many, many, many years to come.

INSANITY

So, this just happened.Or actually yesterday, but today I got to sport them.
The vinyl CÉLINE mules have become my obsession and now I officially have 3 pairs.
I think this is called insanity...OR a proper CÉLINE lover....
You decide ;)
BTW, notice the out-of-this-world cute nail-polish from OPI in Lucky Lucky Lavender paired with the leopard pony skin on the mules.

I'll admit, I am the first one to criticize Zara, as I actually find it pricey for the quality delivered (a good tip girls: Ebay is full of amazing stuff at decent pricing...), but ....And it is a big BUT, their AW collection is mildly said superb (maybe a little bit too inspired sometimes, but still awesome).
I mean Zara campaign pic have taken over the Twitter and Instagram, and every social media available.
Although my fav pieces are still to hit the stores this skater denim skirt is my latest obsession and a decently priced piece from me to me ;)

SUMMER BRIGHTS

posted on: Monday, August 19, 2013

Ok, most of us are already in the pre-fall mood, and reports about pink coats and punk tendencies are all over the web, papers etc. Although it is sooooo tempting to go with the flow and already start hoarding knits and boots, I have decided to enjoy the little that is left of summer and get banans bold with brights and colors. I guess my look is a twist on the good denim/leather combo classic, but the leather really has the summer vibe being lasercut and neon green. NOT to mention that it enhances my vacation obtained tan...

I am wearing vintage denim shirt, Christopher Kane lasercut skirt, Christian Louboutin pumps, Acne sunnies, TheManual&Co bag, Marc by Marc Jacobs Iphone case (how cute isn't the Marc doggy??)  and Georg Jensen watch.

Loving this editorial in Vogue British featuring gorgeous Iselin Steiro. Loving the thigh-high boots with an oversized sweater and the big fur with the velour skinnies. One of the best editorials this fall and right spot on how I want to look this fall.

BDAY LITTLE BLACK

I will be celebrating my 25th bday next week AND I think this hot little number in form of a ultra cool black tux dress is a perfect piece to wear for the nightly activities following a dinner with my love.

NEW DRESS

posted on: Friday, August 16, 2013

While I am sitting in super-rainy Kristiansand, editing vacation photos was a welcomed reminder of the warm and sunny days (and even warmer nights as you can see...)spent in Montenegro. I stumbled upon  this Sportmax beauty on sale and I couldn't not buy it. The details, the very unexpected of me 60's silhouette and the beautiful navy color made this dress so irresistible that I changed the same moment I bought it. It has such a cute coolness to it that it looks as fantastic with sneaks (believe me I have been using it non-stop)as it does with heels, a perfect summer all-rounder.
I don't know how good you can see it on pics but I added a pop of blue mascara  just for an extra detail.

Happy weekend dear readers!

I am wearing Sportmax dress, Celine heels, Saint Laurent Paris Betty bag, Georg Jensen watch, Eddie Borgo and Cooee braclet.

THINKING OF: RINGS ON YOUR FINGERTIPS

Not a ring person, but I can't seem to get bejeweled fingertips of my mind. Although I loved them at Chanel Couture I think I will go for a more discrete and less 'pretty' version( when I stumble upon the right shape...)

PAISLEY

posted on: Wednesday, August 14, 2013

I have yet to experience the travel where I don't buy something. It doesn't have to be planed, or big, but it's inevitable to stumble upon something cool and different that you can1t find anywhere else. Like this shirt for example, me and Anjelica were just strolling around Copenhagen and to be honest The  Kooples isn't a brand I usually fall for, but there was something so cool about this paisley thing that I couldn't resist. I think it evoked my inner Mick Jagger and the rockstar in me. Definitely something new in my wardrobe.

The shirt is The Kooples, off white jeans by Isabel Marant Etoile, by Malene Birger purse, Isabel Marant studded heels, Eddie Borgo bracelet and watch is Georg Jensen.
